The International Criminal Court |
Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has been accused of being a ‘mass murderer’ by the lawyer of Edgar Matobato, Lawyer Jude Sabio before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The question is.. will it prosper? Let’s view the points below.Nutjob
First, let us examine the Lawyer who filed the case, Jude Sabio, who turned out to be a nut job, accused of receiving bribes in the past. According to an expert in the Hague, the sister of late Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Paula Defensor-Knack on her Facebook page, said that Jude Sabio is not licensed to practice before the International Criminal Court.
The 77-page text complaint by Jude Sabio is a waste of time, a series of excessively distorted testimonies by Matobato and LascaƱas, even a CBCP pastoral letter and sources from news outlets which differed from the PNP’s war on drugs data.
The ‘witnesses’ have pending cases in the Philippines
Self-confessed murderers Edgar Matobato and LascaƱas have pending cases in the Philippines. The Court must let the domestic jurisdiction prevail because that is the procedure of the ICC unless courts are not functioning (ex. war). Lascanas and Matobato have to fight it our in domestic courts first because cases are already pending.
"The ICC is a court of last resort. It is not the same as a regional trial court. Several suspects with arrest warrants are even traveling and cannot be brought before the court." – Paula Defensor-Knack
It’s all just noise
The opposition knows that Duterte will not be ousted via ICC since the Commission of Human Rights in the Philippines has stated that the killings falsely reported by the mainstream media are not state-sponsored.
They are just forcing the Filipinos to believe in their false claims. A lie that is repeated becomes the truth.
The New York Times and Inquirer are feeding each other false news because the single largest investor of the New York Times has ties to narcotics in Mexico. Philippine Daily Inquirer, on the other hand, has ties with the Liberal Party and various mining corporations in the country that the Duterte administration is trying to stop.

The anti-Duterte forces use their resources to spread propaganda in order to gather support from the international community since it is impossible to do it in the Philippines. Duterte still has a very high satisfactory rating from the Filipino people. Unfortunately, the opposition has no respect for the choice of the majority of the Filipinos because of their selfish agenda.
