Duterte should allow 100 percent ownership to foreign investors

A video shared on the internet shows neighboring Asian countries give foreigners 100 percent ownership to their businesses in their respective countries.

"Maybe we can tinker with the Constitution now about changing or amending the 60-40 (ownership) to make them (foreign investors) comfortable,'

Rodrigo Duterte on Monday evening told reporters that he can allow a 60-40 business deal in favor of foreigners, or even 100-percent ownership of a business.

“Hangang dyan lang but not selling of properties. China has blossomed without selling a piece of their soil. Why should I? My country is sacred,” Duterte said.

Asking if he would sell part of the country's lands to foreign investors who would want to establish businesses in the Philippines. "Hindi ko talaga tanggapin 'yang selling of the lands of our country. Hindi ko kaya 'yan. I will object", he added.
